The Virtual Terminal is the key player when you need to key in transactions.
The physical terminal is the key player when you need to swipe a card for card present transactions.
**A friendly reminder, do not key in transactions into the Dejavoo terminal. Doing this can cause reporting discrepancies such as the transaction not posting in fattpay but appearing on the report print out from the Dejavoo terminal. **
Here are three common issues we come across with reporting discrepancies within the integrated system and how to avoid them:
1) Terminals on dial up connections do not have enough bandwidth to properly communicate with our servers.
SOLUTION: We recommend switching those to wifi or not supporting them in a semi-integrated (SPIN) mode by using them only as standalone terminals.
2) When a Merchant keys-in a transaction on the Dejavoo, this process takes too long and will result in a timeout.
SOLUTION: If a merchant needs to key in, we recommend they do it on the browser (virtual terminal) not on the physical device. We are exploring ways to better support or disable this feature.
3) Z1s or other terminals set to manual batch can create reporting confusion if not performed immediately following the last transaction of the day. If the batch is performed prior to the last transaction of that same day, then the transaction would appear to be missing when it is actually batched with the following days transactions.
SOLUTION: We would recommend, for next day funding, all terminals are settled at 8pm EST nightly, and for manual batches, that they are performed as part of the business closing process.
