The Omni platform is full of valuable information and tools for you to use to help you run and grow your business. Watch this quick video, or read on to learn more about your Omni analytics dashboard!
Upon login, the top of your dashboard displays gross sales for the year, along with net sales and total refunds. The chart below shows month-over-month data points for your business. For example, hovering over a specific month allows you to see the number of transactions, gross sales, and refunds for that month.
This chart also allows you to see how this trend compares to the month prior - this makes it simple to identify which months were your business’ top performers, and possibly identify opportunities where certain months would be perfect for a marketing campaign!
Clicking a data point in the chart will take you to the Payments page, where you can see a log of all of the transactions that were run at your business. Keep in mind, if you are a terminal user, or using Authorize.net for an eCommerce or CRM integration, these transactions will be on a 24 hour delay, so something that was processed this morning will not show up in the log until tomorrow.
The data in your dashboard also contains information about your business’ average sale, number of active customers, and number of transactions in the past 30 days.
Additionally, the table below shows transaction amounts over the past 7 days, and how that compares to transactions from last week. The pie chart to the right shows a break down of new vs. returning customers, and includes an average lifetime value of your returning customers.
All of this information combined allows you to better understand where there are opportunities for your business. For example, you can now see what percentage of your customers return to your business to purchase. Plus, the average lifetime value of a customer can help define a budget for marketing campaigns to encourage repeat shoppers.
The final chart on the dashboard shows hourly sales activity based on average transactions over the past two weeks. Your business’ busiest hours are shown with a darker color, and on the hover over, the time and average number of transactions are shown. This information can be particularly valuable if you have a brick and mortar storefront, allowing you to use your busiest hours to help define the work schedule for your team.
